I met this guy on Monday… his name is Sean Michel and he has a lot of hair… when I was introduced to him, I was informed that he had made it to Hollywood and the second round of American Idol auditions. The people around him wanted to talk about it often (that “I knew him when” kind of thing), but he didn’t seem to want to talk about it much. He seemed to think that the whole thing (having his audition chosen to be shown on television) was a bit ridiculous. Where did I meet him? I was attending an Evangelism conference and he was there as well… yes, an evangelism conference. It struck me that he does, in fact, have an awful lot of hair, but that his hair will probably not be the thing that people remember about him after the shock of it has worn off… it will probably be his attempts to convey a message to the masses about his relationship with Jesus Christ. I think that it is GREAT, but also expect that it will be the thing that possibly keeps him from moving further in the competition. Sean (and his band) has his own website (www.seanmichel.com) and MySpace page. I must say that the music is okay, but he does much better in his audition. Anyway – just wanted to send out a word to all three of you that frequent this site… this guy is crazy, sincere, hairy, and humble… there’s an idol we could get behind! Enjoy the video…
